Racing Welfare cycle challenge
On the 16th and 17th July Aston Mullins undertook the epic challenge of cycling non stop for 24 hours around Cheltenham and Cleeve Hill to raise money for Racing Welfare (https://racingwelfare.co.uk/). Between us we cycled over 800 km and tackled several challenging ascents including Ham Hill, one of the top 400 hills in the UK. Racing Welfare.
Racing Welfare was set up to support the workforce of British horseracing. They have professional guidance and practical help to all racing people – including stud, stable, and racecourse staff, alongside those working in associated professions – whose dedication is vital for the wellbeing of racing.
Alongside their day to day work, Racing Welfare offers a programme of Mental Health First Aid England accredited training courses. With one in four people affected by mental health these courses are life lines to many people working in the racing industry.
We are incredibly proud to have completed this fantastic challenge and would like to thank everyone who has donated to our JustGiving page. If anyone would like to contribute then we are still able to accept donations.
